My computer shows that I installed Adobe Flashplayer on the installed programs list but when I go to my shutterfly account to upload some photos, it says adobe flashplayer isn't installed.

First, try enabling Active Scripting in Intenet Options, Security Setting, Trusted Sites Zones.
