anytime I right click on library folder, windows explorer shuts down
I have had a malfunction lately where almost everytime I right-click on a folder in Windows Explorer, Windows Explorer shuts down and re-starts. Even the taskbar shuts off and has to restart.
My computer also has been 'stuttering' a lot lately, where when I start a program the window might blink on and off once before it really gets going, or when the computer has been asleep for some time and it is restarted, and every program I use, the window
will blink; it will disappear for a couple of seconds and then re-appear. Usually just once.
I note also that my system reliability monitor measure took a dive from an average of a bout 6 to an average of 2 a couple of days ago. it seems that an attempt was made at updating my adobe reader, and that this attempt failed, and it has been around 2
and I have had the above problem ever since.
I have run the troubleshooting, system maintenance, and 'check for solutions' from the Action Center, with no meaningful result.
I do see at this writing though, my Adobe Reader says there are no updates available.
Appreciate whatever you can suggest,
RichardLVNB

Download Error Fixer for Free Now
I want to report, This problem solved for me, and I forget what I did, if anything. I believe that I did not do anything in particular; I think it just resolved with repeated use and reboot.
I did actually clean out a few items from my start configuration, as mentioned above.
My system reliability is back up around four, now.
Thanks!
Don't Download Malware
Where are you getting the download?
There are malicious people who download valid copies of a popular download, modify the file with malicious software, and then upload the file with the same name. Make sure you are downloading from the developer's web page or a reputable company.
Don't install download manager
Many sites suggest or require you to install an installer or a download manager before allowing you to download a program you may be interested in downloading. These tools almost always cause your computer more problems and may even have malware or other spyware. Avoid any site claiming anything must be installed first before you can continue with your download.
Avoid advertisements on download pages
To help make money and pay for the bandwidth costs of supplying free the software, the final download page may have ads. Watch out for anything that looks like advertisements on the download page. Many advertisers try to trick viewers into clicking an ad with phrases like "Download Now", "Start Download", or "Continue" and that ad may open a separate download.
Cancel or deny any automatic download
Some sites may automatically try start a download or give the appearance that something needs to be installed or updated before the site or video can be seen. Never accept or install anything from any site unless you know what is downloading.
