Archiving email in Windows Mail

I have several "older" emails I would like to achive within my Windows Email program.
How do I do this effectively? Does Windows Mail have a archiving feature where I can set up parameters when to archiving future saved emails within the parameters specified?

I don’t think there is an archive feature in Windows mail; however you can try to save the old emails to a different folder in the hard disk.
It's quite easy to backup Windows Mail email.
We shall use the "Export" functionality to save a copy of the email messages to a folder of choice.
You may try the following steps to backup the files.
1.
Choose "Messages" from the "Export" feature under the "File" menu.
2.
Select "Microsoft Windows Mail" option in the pop-up.
Click "Next".
3.
Browse your hard disk and select (or create) the folder in which you want to save Windows Mail emails.
5.
You can now choose to backup only certain folders from Windows Mail or all emails.
6.
Suggest going with the default and saving all messages.

7.
A small pop-up keeps you informed of the export progress
8.
A confirmation screen will tell you when all the emails from Windows Mail have been backed up and exported.

Tweak IE Options

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Go to "Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab".
• Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions".
• Click "Apply".
  
• Reboot your computer.
