Fast Solution to Problem: Applications take longer to load up than usual

Applications take longer to load up than usual

Welp, it appears I'm slowly solving all of my problems bit by bit.
I hope you guys don't mind helping me out again.
:s

So I've just discovered as of this evening that my programs take longer than usual to load.
Like, say for example that when I open Windows Explorer, it normally loads the whole folder thing in less than a second.
But when I got home today I discovered
that it takes 1 to 2 seconds to load the screen.
The computer itself isn't slow though.
My Internet is fine and I'm typing this with no issues.
But do bear in mind I noticed this happening as soon as I logged in, so it can't be anything to do with slow processing
or whatever.
However, windows did start on the "Windows did not shut down correctly - please choose the start-up option you want to load windows in" or whatever, and then it has "Start it in Safe Mode" etc.
Though I did shut it down correctly, if I recall accurately.
I hit the turn-off button from the start menu and let it do it's own thing, So I don't know why it's doing that, as it normally only does it when I "force shut-down" my computer, aka holding
down the main power button until it turns off.
Also, after I selected the "Start Windows normally" option, it was stuck on the "Windows logo" loading screen for about a minute before it instantly loaded up the log-in screen.

I hope that's enough information.
Although this could just be a simple matter of restarting the computer to solve the problem.
I'll restart it after I post this and update on the issue.
Also, I did remove a Trojan quite recently.
I know the Trojan wasn't
too old because I recognize the directory/program that it was found in, as it was a program that I removed.
But I'll restart it now and see what happens.
If you guys have any other advice that would be great.

Cheers!

Update: Yep, all I had to do was restart it.
Silly me.
:3
It's working fine now though.
Hooray! :D
